Ja ihr lest richtig. Ich habe vorletzte Woche das erste Mal in einer Hängematte übernachtet. Wie ich darauf gekommen bin kann ich nicht sagen, aber ich wollte es immer schon mal ausprobieren.

Für den ersten Versuch wählte ich unseren Garten und musste feststellen, dass man mit einem Baum nur schwer eine Hängematte aufhängen kann. Also baute ich eine Hilfskonstruktion, einen “2. Baum” sozusagen, und hängte die Matte ein. Vorsichtig nahm ich in der Matte Platz und die Konstruktion hielt auf Anhieb stand.

Langsam wurde es immer dunkler. Da das Wetter etwas unsicher war, entschloss ich mich, dass 3 x 3m große Tarp über der Hängematte aufzuspannen.

Am nächsten Morgen wurde ich früh von den Vögeln geweckt. Ich bin erstaunt, wie angenehm es war in der Hängematte zu schlafen und bin auch froh gewesen, dass sich meine anfängliche Sorge, dass ich vielleicht raus fallen könnte, nicht bestätigt hat.

Ein paar Dinge würde ich beim nächsten Mal jedoch etwas anders machen. Zum einen würde ich die Hängematte noch etwas straffer spannen, zum anderen würde ich das Tarp etwas niedriger aufhängen. Für das Tarp benötige ich noch ordentliche Schnüre um es besser aufspannen zu können. Außerdem kam es ziemlich kalt vom Boden herauf, sodass es etwas frisch im Schlafsack war. Dadurch das die Hängematte aus zwei Stoffbahnen besteht, die mit einem Reißverschluss verbunden sind (siehe Foto), kann man dieses Raum mit einer weichen Isomatte oder anderem, gut isolierendem Material auffüllen. Ich hatte versucht eine Therm-a-Rest einzulegen, allerdings war diese etwas zu unbeweglich und ich konnte nicht bequem in der Hängematte liegen.

Mein Fazit: Im Sommer bestimmt eine super Abwechslung zum Zelt. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf die Sterne und die Natur und hat gleichzeitig Abstand zu den meisten Wiesenbewohnern. Für den Winter muss ich mir noch was überlegen, wie ich meinen Hintern etwas wärmer halten kann.
